Portfolio Tutorial
This tutorial describes how to use the electronic portfolio templates created for students in the College of Education. The primary objective of this tutorial is not to describe how to use Dreamweaver (a web authoring tool) or to create web pages but how to use these tools to edit the portfolio templates that have already been created. Students who are interested in learning more about Dreamweaver or web design can read about them in the Additional Options & Information section of this tutorial.
After completing this tutorial you will be able to:
Explain the importance and purpose of electronic portfolios.
Prepare an assignments for placement into an electonic portfolios.
Acquire the portfolio templates from the server or download them from this web site.
Add an introduction and assignments to an electronic portfolio.
Add a page to your portfolio that was not included in the template.
- Publish an electronic portfolio on the web so that it can be access from any computer that is connected to the Internet.
The instructions in this tutorial are specific to the Macintoshes in the College of Education lab. If you are interested in working on your portfolio on a PC or on Macintosh outside of the lab, refer to the Additional Options & Information.
