Publishing Your Portfolio on the Web

You will place your portfolio files back onto the COE2 server so that the changes that you made to them can be viewed from the web.

1. Double-click on your folder icon (the one that is on the desktop NOT on the COE2 server in the ug folder) and on the ug folder icon.
2. Locate your folder in the ug window but DO NOT double-click on it.
3. Select and drag all of the files in your portfolio folder (you can select multiple files by holding down the shift-key and clicking or by drawing a "box" around the icons) on the desktop into the your folder in the ug window. When the your folder gets dark, drop the files.
4. When the "An item named...Do you want to replace it with the one you're moving?" dialog box comes up, click ok.
5. This will copy your revised portfolio files onto the server, and you will now be able to view the changes you made to them on any computer from which you can access the Internet.
6. To view your files, open a web browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) and type http://coe2.unk.edu/ug/(your username) in the address field.
7. When you are finished, close the web browser and make sure that you disconnect from COE2. Do this by dragging the ug icon to the Trash; and when the Trash gets dark, drop it.
