University of Kansas Drumline
Date: March 1, 2000
Description: A fellow undergraduate student and I created the Drumline's website from scratch. I was responsible for the technical aspects of the site, and he gathered the content and helped select a design. When we first created it, I hard-coded the site in HTML and designed the graphics using Photoshop. After experiencing a few maintenance headaches and acquiring a little more knowledge about web design, I revamped the site by developing a Dreamweaver template for it and created server-side includes for the elements that were repeated on each of the pages. The site also featured a CGI counter, guestbook and registration scripts that I wrote in Perl, and an introduction created in Flash.
